Into the Deck

is a conceptual visual project that reimagines traditional playing cards as narrative objects shaped by power, hierarchy, and inherited systems. The project interrogates symbolism rooted in European card culture while reflecting on the lingering effects of post-colonial influence on identity, value, and social order. Familiar forms are subverted and recontextualized, transforming the deck into a contemporary visual language that questions who holds power, who is represented, and who is erased.
